How To Make Spicy Homemade Pizza -VIDEO RECIPE

Ingredients

For the dough

All purpose flour – 3 cups.
Warm water – 1¼ cups.
Yeast – 1¼ tbsp.
Olive oil – 2 tbsp.
Sugar – 2 tbsp.
Salt – as needed.

For the tomato sauce

Tomato – 4 nos.
Basil – 2 tbsp.
Oregano – 2 tbsp.
Garlic – 5 nos.
Onion chopped – 1nos.
Red bell pepper – as needed
Green bell pepper – as needed
Chilly flakes – as needed
Pepper powder – as needed
Mozzarella cheese – as needed

Toppings

Mozzarella cheese – as needed
Onion – as needed
Olive – as needed
Mushrooms – as needed
Red bell pepper – as needed
Green bell pepper – as needed
Boneless chicken – 200gm

How to fry the chicken

Marinate the chicken with pepper powder, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp chili sauce, corn flour and salt.Use minimal cornflour as we just need a light coating for the chicken. Heat oil in a pan.Add marinated chicken. Turn heat to medium and shallow fry the chicken till half done. .Once fried move the chicken into a separate bowl.

How to make the dough

Add yeast to the warm water, mix well. Add sugar, olive oil, water..salt and warm water to the all purpose flour. Knead well to form a soft dough. Place the dough in a bowl. Pour olive oil to the top of kneaded dough. Spread gently on the top. Cover the bowl and set aside in a warm area for 2 hours to rise.

How to make the sauce

Boil water in a pot.Add the tomatoes. Cover and cook the tomatoes until the skins begin to split. Remove the tomatoes from the boiling water. Peel the skins off the tomatoes when it’s cold. Puree the peeled tomatoes in a blender without water.

Heat olive oil in a pan. Add onions and garlic paste(Grind garlic with olive oil to make a paste). Saute for a couple of minutes. Add bell pepper, sauté for a minute. Add Chilly flakes and pepper powder. Saute till combined. Add tomato purée followed by basil, oregano, nd salt. Cover and cook for 5 minutes at medium flame. Add cheese to the cooked tomato purée. Switch off the flame when the cheese completely melts. Move to a bowl and keep aside.

Method

Pre heat oven to 450F.
Spread the dough on a 16 inch pizza pan. Make edges thick while spreading.
Spread out the pizza sauce, leave one inch off the edges. Sprinkle cheese followed by Chilli flakes.
Spread toppings(onion, mushroom, chicken, olives, red bell pepper, green bell pepper)
Sprinkle some cheese and oregano on the top.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes in the middle rack of the oven.
